The 8 MOST HELPFUL things for a dog with cancer (that I've found through trial, error, and a whole lotta research)

Please note that I am NOT a doctor or vet. I am just sharing what I've learned about treating a dog with cancer, because this kind of research takes a LOT of time and energy, and it seems like it would be a waste to NOT share what I've learned. A lot of us trying to treat our dogs with cancer have busy lives. That time and energy we are spending on doing research could be spent in more productive ways like taking our dogs for longer walks, or doing more to help them heal faster.

So, I think it's really important for us to share information. But you should also do your own research as well. I'm learning and trying all these things as I go along, and can't say what the long term effects of ANY of these treatments would be. I also know every dog is different. What works for one dog may not work for the next dog. But I STILL think all these things are worth sharing. I thought it might save some people time to be able to see some of the most helpful things on one page. I wish someone could have shared this with me a year ago!

I belong to about 5 different German Shepherd groups on Facebook, and not a day goes by where I don't see a new post about a Shepherd who has either just developed cancer, or passed away from it (often way too young) and it breaks my heart.

It also makes me mad because too many doctors and veterinarians don't tell us about really effective natural protocols that actually do work. I realize, there are a lot of doctors that would lose a lot of business if they were to tell you about these things I'm writing about on this page. But I still think doctors should be honest and tell people about this stuff because they will always have business from other things like accidents and emergency surgeries. They do not need to be adding cancer to that list!

I've been talking to a lot of pet owners who are going through the same difficult journey as I am. So many of us are online, sharing information with each other to try to prevent these dreadful cancers from progressing and taking our dogs' lives.

I've spent so much time sending various links to people, to check out the things I've found to be the most helpful (listed below). Eventually I realized it would be faster and easier for me to make ONE page that lists the top 5 (now 8) things that have helped me in treating Kali's cancer. And I can send just one link!

I've learned a LOT through research, trial and error. Again, I'm NOT a doctor or vet, so please do your own research, but if you look into the things on this page, I think you'll see why I highly recommend looking into them. A lot of the decisions I make are based on reviews by other dog owners, and some of them are downright mind blowing!

FYI if you are in a rush and want to skip past the backstory and get straight to the things I used, scroll down the page and look for the part. I highlighted in yellow, in the middle of the page, where it says THE LIST.

I am planning on updating this page at some point is in the future, so that things are easy to read in one spot, but it might take a while. I'm juggling a lot right now.

How it all began

In the fall of 2024, my oldest female shepherd, Kali, began to develop a rapidly-growing tumor. And this happened RIGHT AFTER receiving a rabies vaccine.

I 100% believe this tumor was caused by the vaccine, since THREE of my four rescue shepherds (whom I'd already had for 2 years) developed strange growths, RIGHT AFTER they got theirs, too (all dogs were vaccinated on the same day). The only one who didn't show any noticeable reactions was my shepherd-goldie mix, Shelby.

None of my shepherds had growths like this before the shot. Luckily, with 2 of my rescues, their growths went away shortly after treating them with hypochlorous acid. But Kali seems to have autoimmune issues, so unfortunately that did not work for her.

Sadly, it's hard to tell what is going to work until you actually do it. This is another reminder that every dog is different and what works great for one dog could cause a bad reaction in another. Sometimes we just don't know until we try it, but I think the best we can do is to share what we learn as we go along, and let other people make their own decisions about what they want to do.

When I first got all the dogs fixed, the vet who did their spay surgeries (the late great Dr. Leroi Boldon, who passed last year, God rest his soul) told me he saw Kali had LOTS of tumors in her body, when he opened her up (the other shepherds didn't seem to have this issue). We didn't know how long she would live, but she seemed very healthy and strong, and is such a sweetheart and brings so much joy to our lives, I want to do everything I can, to help her live as long as she can.

Beware the "cheap" Rabies Vaccine!

I had to learn the hard way that there is NO SUCH THING as a cheap or free vaccine... for people OR animals.

It is a law in our county that all dogs must have a current rabies vaccine. I literally had a cop checking up on me, around this time, so I was under a tremendous amount of pressure to get all my dogs revaccinated for rabies.

I would have preferred to get the Purevax vaccine, it felt like I couldn't afford it at the time because I wasn't just dealing with one dog. We had to vaccinate four.  I was thinking it would cost a small fortune - probably $800 or so, to take all four dogs to a vet, to be vaccinated. Whereas the TOTAL to get all 4 dogs the rabies vaccine would be $60 TOTAL.

If I had known it would have cost less than a hundred dollars to do each dog, i would have done it. But I was so stressed out, I just wasn't thinking straight and didn't do enough research.

The vet tech who took over for Dr. Boldon later told me that those "regular" veccines are RIDDLED with problems. I got the feeling it's largely because they have thimerosal , which can cause all kinds of immune issues in dogs. I just spoke with a woman the other day, who told me one of her dogs DIED after getting the rabies vaccine. PLEASE, people.... do your research on vaccines, especially the RABIES vaccine. I did posts about them here:

I also HIGHLY recommend you watch the documentary "Trace Amounts" if you haven't already. You can see it in THIS PAGE, if you just scroll down (just be prepared, it could take a minute for the videos to load, as YouTube won't allow this video on their site, so you have to watch it via Bitchute or an alternative video hosting site).

The rabies vaccine is REQUIRED for dogs in my county, so please know that I am not telling people to not get a rabies vaccine, but if you DO have to get one, please do your research on what TYPE to get, because some are more dangerous than others.  What sounded like a good deal (just $15 per rabies vaccine through our local shelter) SOUNDED like a good deal, and it turned out to be one of the greatest regrets of my life.

So PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH.  And also please research TITERS, because your dog may not NEED to get boosters every year and a half. Many dogs have immunity for years longer than we're led to believe they will last (or even a lifetime).

THE LIST

Here are the things I've found to be the most helpful intriguing my German Shepherd for cancer. Again, please keep in mind, I am NOT a doctor or a veterinarian. I have listed these things just because they were helpful for my dog, but that doesn't mean I am an expert or know what the long-term effects of any of these supplements will be. I am basing my conclusions simply on my own research, observations, and the opinions of other pet owners who have used these supplements for their pets.

1. Apricot Seeds / Amygdalin / B17

After using apricot seeds for just a few days, i have come to the conclusion that this is the most important tool in Kali's cancer toolkit.

Her tumor is slowly start to shrink, and the fungated part is clearing up as well. I started using it after reading lots of testimonials about how much they have helped dog owners with cancer and tumors.

8/31/25: I should note that I am still using all the other treatments mentioned on this page, though I have paused using the manuka honey, just for a little while, because my washing machine broke and I haven't been able to wash her diapers or the outfit that has to hold in the gauze, etc, after I put the honey on it. There's no point in putting it on there if she's just going to lick it right off. Yes, I know there are health benefits, so I do give her some with her.
nightly food mixture, but it's expensive, and I can't afford to waste it.And she only need so much.

But it was interesting to see that even without the manuka honey (directly on the tumor) for the last few days, the fungated part of the tumor was still starting to shrink. The color of it is changing, it is less bloody, and it is flattening out.

Apricot seeds are cheap, natural, easy to use, and so far, Kali has not demonstrated any negative side effects. in fact, she actually seems more energetic.

I had done a lot of research on Apricot seeds in 2018 after my dear friend Jeanne (who was also my landlady, and a second mother) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The doctors basically said, there's nothing we can do, you need to get your affairs in order.
I refused to give up on Jeanne, and felt very determined to help her beat cancer. I had actually seen many different testimonials and success stories with people beating pancreatic cancer. I even had a friend whose mom beat pancreatic Cancer, and we had a conversation on the phone. So I was very hopeful.

When I learned about the power of apricot seeds, they sounded very promising, so I bought them for Jeanne, and they actually did seem to be helping.

But she and I were both under an extreme amount of stress at the time. And sadly. I have learned that if a person (or animal) is under extreme stress, their bodies will be producing so much cortisol, it's nearly impossible to heal from cancer.

Jeanne passed away in the fall of 2018, and I was so depressed and so heartbroken by the reality that I wasn't able to save her. I didn't want to go anywhere near apricot seeds, or anything else I had used for her cancer treatments.

So those apricot seeds just sat on my shelf. It was hard to have a positive feeling about anything I had used to try to help Jeanne, knowing I wasn't actually able save her. Those seeds just sat there, collecting dust.

But now I am wishing I had grabbed those seeds immediately after Kali started developing her tumor. Because once I actually started using them, it was clear that they really were helping to shrink her tumor and lessen the bleeding.

I really overlooked the power of those seeds!

Another reason it was easy to forget how powerful these were, is because nobody was really talking about them anymore. A lot of people were talking about other things that are helpful for cancer, like RSO oil, fenbendezole, Ivermectin, and medicinal mushrooms.

How did I hear about those other things that worked? I learned about them from advertisers.... people who were selling it. And they had really good reasons to sell these things, because they do help a lot of people and animals with cancer.

But when you're dealing with a deadly disease that can take your life, I am all for finding the  treatment that is the easiest and simplest to use, works the fastest, has the least amount of side effects, and costs the least amount of money.

Based on the evidence I have seen so far, apricot seeds seem to fit that bill. Please note that I am still learning about this and I haven't even finished a full week of treatment. But the results I have seen so far have been promising enough for me to put abricot seeds at the top of this list.

Sadly, apricot seeds lost their number one promoter, a man named Jason Vale. Jason passed away in 2021, but when he was alive, he promoted the seeds like crazy, and it seemed like a lot more people knew about them and were taking them back then.

His refusal to stop promoting and soiling the seeds actually landed him in jail 6 years, which took a tremendous toll on his health, since he needed the seeds to prevent his brain tumor from coming back. He no longer had access to healthy food or supplements, so he also developed kidney issues while he was in prison.

When I saw how well the apricot seeds were working to slowly shrink Kali's tumor, AND improve her energy level, with no visible side effects, i was just kicking myself for not using them earlier. They were sitting right there on my shelf!  Heck, if I had used them as soon as she developed her cancer, the tumor may have gone away completely. Now I will never know.

What I learned through Jason's passing is: we really need people to promote things in order to keep them alive. It takes a lot of time and energy to promote things, so it's likely the person you're going to see promoting a particular product is someone who is also selling it. Which is fair, because time is money. But it's just such a shame that we lost Jason (and his website) over the last few years, because once he was no longer promoting the seeds, it seems as if people forgot about how powerful they were. Including myself!

Jason had the most powerful testimonials I had ever seen, for alternative cancer treatments.  Fenbendazole and Joe Tippens' story was the only other thing I had seen that came close, but that protocol costs quite a bit more than apricot seeds.

Anyway, I wrote a whole post how about apricot seeds, that you can see here:  http://theshepherdpeople.blogspot.com/2025/08/apricot-seeds-amygdalin-for-tumors.html

I still do absolutely believe that these other things on this list can be really beneficial for dogs, and they are well worth looking into or using. But there are reasons why I personally feel that apricot seeds should be at the very top of this list. If I was stranded on a desert island and could take only two products with me, i would choose apricot seeds and Sam-e. You can scroll down a bit to read about why I think Sam-e is a really important supplement. It has put Kali in such a a good mood, and i'm really really grateful for that.

2. Medicinal mushrooms

In particular, TURKEY TAIL mushrooms. When I was recently in a Chinese grocery store, looking for different mushroom supplements for Kali (thinking maybe they would be cheaper if I bought the freeze dried kind and ground them up myself), I got to talking to a woman who told me her Mom was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in her 60s, and refused chemo and radiation. She instead opted for a holistic approach, and her Mom completely got rid of her cancer largely by using TURKEY TAIL mushrooms. She did other holistic things, but her daughter said that those Turkey Tail mushrooms were the thing she felt were the MOST helpful. She's in her 90s now, and is still cancer free, so I thought this was definitely worth mentioning to people! I recently began putting this turkey tail mushroom extract on Kali's tumor, along with CBD oil, and it was clear that these 2 things were helping to kill the cancer cells (will do a post about that soon).

I first learned about the power of medicinal mushrooms thanks to an ad, that was being circulated on facebook by the people who make Critical Immune Defense. We ordered it when Kali's tumor was still the size of a small potato. I was so impressed, because it it really did work. It was very clear that the tumor shrank, shortly after we started using it. I wrote them a glowing review, and they ended up using it in this ad below. If you click on it, that will take you to the ad on Facebook.

CLICK HERE  to go to the ad on Facebook

Unfortunately we kept running out and I couldn't afford to keep buying it, so I switched to other supplements. I was under an extreme amount of stress and pressure at the time (I'm literally writing a book about it.... things were so bad). I just couldn't get back on top of things, to control that tumor. We have spent so much time and money trying to find things that work.

The tumor started out small, and was getting smaller when we used CID, but once it got to the point where there was a breach in the skin, it quickly turned into a huge open wound and became what's known as a Fungating Tumor. THAT thing was just out of control. It took me a LONG time to figure out what works for that (which I'll cover in this post... look for the part about Manuka Honey)!!

It seems like currently, the cheapest way to get Critical Immune defense is to buy it directly from the website and get it on auto ship. We had ordered it from amazon just because my boyfriend has Prime, so that makes it arrive really quickly. But if I could go back in time, I would have ordered the C.I.D. directly from their website, to save money, and I would have also bought a teraherz wand  (had one before but it broke). I wrote about teraherz wands on this page further down. I once saw a video where a woman used a wand on her dog, and it made the tumor (which was maybe about the size of a golf ball) shrivel up! I finally got another wand and i'm using it on Kali's tumor but it is way more complicated now because you can't use the wand on the fungated parts! So I am really wishing I did all this differently, and treated it like this early, from the get go. But since I can't change the past, I figure the best I can do is just share this information with other people in the hopes other people can learn from my mistakes!

I am learning a lot about how to treat tumors, so as a way to try to turn something bad into something good.I am sharing that information on this page.  Sometimes I think God gives me these challenges because he knows i'm gonna write about them, and if I find something good, i'm going to tell as many people as possible.😊

3. Manuka Honey

Please note that I have read you are NOT supposed to put 'regular' (not medical grade) honey on a dog's tumor, because it is NOT antibacterial, so that type could actually make it worse! It can be confusing to determine what is medical grade vs what is not.... scroll down to see how you can determine the difference (I copied and pasted what I learned from Chat GPT, which isn't foolproof but this is what I went with). Please also do your own research. It's too bad most of us can't learn about this stuff from doctors.

From what I gather, Medical grade Manuka honey has special antibacterial properties that can help with a lot of things "regular" honey can't.  Scroll down to see what Chat GPT said when I asked what type is considered to be "medical grade."

I am adding this on 8-17-25, since I just discovered the power of Manuka honey also, after reading this article about how much it can help a fungated tumor.  It really does seem to be helping the fungated part of her tumor to shrink, since I started putting it on the tumor at night.

This is the brand I ordered: https://amzn.to/4lvhiSs  Please note that the one I bought is the 17 oz, 400+ MGO (medicinal) type. I noticed that when I clicked that link, it didn't go to that exact same MGO level/ size I got, but you can easily select the correct size and MGO level yourself.

Question: What MGO level is considered medical grade for manuka honey

ChatGPT said:

Great question 🌼 — the term “medical grade” manuka honey usually refers to honey that has been sterilized (gamma-irradiated) and tested for medicinal activity, not just the MGO number. But the MGO level is still a key factor in how strong the antibacterial action is.

📊 MGO Levels and “Medical Use”

  • MGO < 100 (UMF < 5+) → everyday sweetener, not therapeutic.

  • MGO 100–250 (UMF 5+ to 10+) → general wellness, mild immune support.

  • MGO 250–500 (UMF 10+ to 15+) → stronger activity, good for digestion, mild sore throats.

  • MGO 500–829 (UMF 15+ to 20+) → high antibacterial power, often used for topical skin support and moderate wound care.

  • MGO ≥ 830 (UMF 20+ and higher)very strong antibacterial effect, commonly the level chosen for medical-grade wound dressings like MediHoney®.

You may get similar results with a different level of MGO, but that is just the one I used based on the testimonial by a girl who said her dog's tumor shrank by 30 percent after just one application! My mind is completely blown by these results... she was not kidding!

I did a search through the amazon reviews for this particular brand, to see what other dog owners had to say. I tried pasting the screenshots below, but it looks like the resolution isn't great. If you want to see them, just click on these links.

I realize now that I may have been able to get by with the smaller jar, but I like to also give some of the honey to Kali in her "supplement mixture." I used to give Kali her supplements mixed in her food (I'd stuff them all into a meatball) but eventually she was losing her appetite and didn't want to eat it anymore. I'd sometimes try to sneak some of the supplements into her dog food (the Kirkland wet dog food called Nature's Domain), but she is so darn picky, sometimes she refused to touch it if I even put so much as a half teaspoon of probiotics in it! It really worried me when she started refusing food, so I started mixing her supplements (mostly liquid supplements) with a little water (the melatonin was the one pill I had to crush), and giving it to her via a large plastic syringe (mixed with about a teaspoon of manuka honey). When I give this to her BEFORE I serve her the wet food, she definitely eats a lot more overall.

What I've been putting in the syringe:

(I was going to make a list but don't have time right now, so I just took a picture of each thing, and you can see it all in this folder:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/Q7Fyug2r6TA8GALu9

Back to the info on Manuka Honey...

This is a picture from the study I read, that shows how Manuka honey helped to heal a fungating tumor. It's a huge relief for me to have found this study, because I recently heard that a vet told someone, if their dog's tumor turned into that type, it was better to just put the dog to sleep :( : ( : (. It's true, this study is on a HUMAN, and not a dog, but it still makes me hopeful.

To see the article, where the picture was taken from: click HERE. This is the photo, below. Again, this is a HUMAN, NOT a DOG! But in my experience it does seem to help dogs. But I'm starting to realize, it's very important to keep the wound COVERED. I wasn't always the best about that.

From the article:

A thin layer of ALH paste was applied to all undermined and tunneled areas followed by ALH calcium alginate, gauze ,and absorbent abdominal pads. The dressing was changed every 3 days. The necrotic slough tissue was rapidly debrided, malodor was immediately eradicated, and the wound healed by the third dressing change (see Figure 3). The patient and staff were pleased with ease of use, odor eradication, exudate management, and rapid healing.

Please note that I did not follow all the same steps as are mentioned above. I change the dressing once a day but don't "clean" it (though I might start to). I had been letting it "air out" but Kali always ends up licking it, partly because I dind't have a second outfit to put on her while I was washing the first one (which always got wet and sweaty overnight). So I'm going to try doggie diapers. ((Update 8/28/25 i got these and they seemed to work well... https://a.co/d/hHubl9a
Kali is 85 lbs, so I got the XL size... i'm almost wondering if I should have gotten the XXL because it seems a little tight, but I can't deny that it does keep the pad in place). I also got some of these pads. https://amzn.to/3Vpi0WC

I used a pretty generous amount of the honey on the tumor, because I got the larger jar of it. It was probably at least a tablespoon, maybe even two. Make sure to keep a towel underneath your dog's body, so it doesn't get all over your couch or whatever else your dog is sitting on!

I have to say, there really is something to this and more people should definitely know about this supplement. She also seems to enjoy eating this honey (plain and raw), so I think she knows it's good for her.

I also want to mention that you may be able to buy manuka honey from Costco, if you have a membership.  You can see they have it online, by clicking here: https://www.costco.com/s?keyword=manuka%20honey   I was there 2 days ago and asked if they had it in stock. They did, but the type they had out in the warehouse had an MGO of I think about 350+.... even though it wasn't quite the 400 level I was used to giving her, I got it to mix a little with her food when I give her supplements in a syringe. She seems to like the taste of it, and as they say, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.

UPDATE 8/23:
I had to order disposable diapers for Kali, as a way to hold the tumor dressing in place, because I'm finding that I need a "backup outfit" for her to wear, as I soon as I change her dressings in the morning. She is NOT a fan of the outfit, especially because she gets very hot due to a very thick coat (even if I have 3 fans on). She licks the wound as soon as I take her outfit off, but the bottom part of her outfit gets really wet and sweaty, and one time she pooped in it... poor girl. I'm expecting the washable diapers to arrive today, and will post updates on how it's going.

4. Cannabis, CBD oil and RSO oil

I will write more about this soon, but if you do any research on RSO oil - aka Rick Simpson Oil, please START by looking at Rick Simpson's Official Page. You can see his dosing recommendations on THIS page (please note this is his recommendation for humans, not dogs, but I've been giving Kali the equivalent of about a grain-and-a-half-of-rice-sized smudge of RSO (divided into 3 doses daily).  Rick Simpson has the BEST videos that show how you can make it yourself, as well as a video that shows LOTS of testimonials - look at "Run From the Cure" which is currently the 3rd video down the page.  He also has a page of written testimonials. You can also support his mission by buying his books on Amazon... he hs a Life Story and also a book about Nature's Answer for cancer).  If you click on THIS PAGE, you can see why I think CBD/Hemp oil could be a great option as a topical treatment for a dog with cancer. UPDATE: I should also mention that I recently purchased two different types of RSO oil from local dispensaries. I got an Indica strain from Embarc dispensary in Redwood City (i have to look up the exact brand but it was in a yellow package).  UPDATE 8/24/25: I just got another tube from Embarc because, for some God forsaken reason, I managed to misplace the other one. This is the one I bought, and it seems to work pretty well.

I should note that a big part of the reason I bought this one is because it is in a plastic syringe. At first I wanted to just use RSO from a glass syringe because it seemed like it would be better somehow... I'm not a big fan of plastic, especially if it contains something that was exposed to the plastic while it was heated. But, to be honest, it seemed like a lot of work to use the glass syringe I got from Airfield, because every time I used it, i had to boil a small amount of water and soak the tip and cap in it, just to get the cap off, otherwise, the plastic that attaches to the cap would break. I have so many steps that I have to take in treating my dog's cancer, it just felt like too much work to have to keep doing this over and over again. I called Airfield to see if they have any plastic syringes, but they didn't. So I ended up going to Embarc instead.

5. Sam-e

This is not necessarily "for cancer" but this supplement has made such a HUUUGE difference in Kali's mood and overall energy level, I had to include it in this list!  The day after I started using it, she began pulling me to go further on her walk, than she normally does.  She also wanted to play with balls that she had been ignoring for months! I am so impressed with how much this has affected her mood and energy level. This also helps with joint health. She actually SMILES many times during the day, now! Every pet owner who has a dog with cancer should know about this!

I looked at this as an option to give Kali because she was starting to look really sad and depressed. I've taken Sam-e as a mood-booster in the past. Did you know Sam-e was first introduced as an anti-depressant in the UK? The reason it works so well, is because it's good for the liver, and a lot of things that are good for the liver are natural mood-boosters! I could write a lot more about this, but for now, please do your own research on this incredible supplement. The one I pictured is here to the left. I give her about 10 drops per day (mixed in with supplements I give her with a syringe, BEFORE she eats her dinner).

Her eye movements are so much faster and sharper since she started taking the Sam-e! And her reflexes are faster, too. She catches the ball almost every time I throw it to her, whereas, just a few weeks ago, she didn't even want to play with a ball.

You can see a video of her, after taking the Sam-e, here. https://youtube.com/shorts/KhGEgvYOaF0?si=Ylp5VLZn9JEJHIah  FYI, this is Kali, but sometimes we call her " Mommy" because she is the older female shepherd in the house and I get the feeling she'd had puppies in her past life, before we adopted her.

6. Probiotics

To see the page I made about probiotics for gut health and Immunity (CLICK HERE

I have an additional page about making Probiotic dog food that you can see HERE).

In my own personal experience, probiotics are WAY BETTER at keeping bad bacteria in check, than ANTIbiotics! And they're way better FOR you (and your dog)... but sadly, most doctors are still trained to prescribe ANTIbiotics (maybe because it increases their bottom line).

I also want to note that probiotics can greatly help with mood, immunity, and allergies! Just google it and you will see.  They can also help with UTIs, in dogs AND humans! I wrote about this on my own Health Blog for Humans. You can see the post HERE.

7.  Fenbendazole / Ivermectin / Panacur

(PLEASE NOTE I just read a woman named Marta say this can be toxic for Collies and herding dogs...really appreciate her sharing that).

UPDATE 8/28/25 I just read another person's comment that it can be dangerous for shepherds, too!!!   Basically, this is because of a genetic mutation that many collies and shepherds can have, called MDR1. It is possible to do a genetic test to see if your dog has this gene mutation. I can say that I did give carry a packet of panacur (fenbendazole) many months ago and did not see any negative reaction, but who knows what the long term side effects could have been if I kept giving it to her. It could be that for whatever reason she does not have this mutation, but I just don't know yet. I will do a separate post about it soon but for now, i am copying and pasting what I was told by Chat GPT:

Why Testing Matters for Herder Breeds

Breeds such as Collies, German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, and others commonly carry the MDR1 mutation. Rough Collies, for instance, have an estimated 70% prevalence of this mutation  , which can cause severe reactions to medications like ivermectin and other common drugs. Knowing your dog's genetic status allows your veterinarian to prescribe safer, effective alternatives.

Please do your research on this before giving to your dog, and if you're not sure if they may be part collie or a herding breed (hopefully you can do a DNA test first).

Kali did not do this whole protocol but because I do believe it works, and because you can see this cool facebook page with a dog that got amazing results. You can see the page via this link:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1491019255670809/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT

Ivermectin is a wonder drug for cancer and covid, that many doctors and vets still don't want you to know about. This post was a blogger page, and google removed it. I swear, had everyone known about how well i've remacked and works for covid, they're never would have been a covid pandemic in the first place.

You can also see human testimonials for how well ivermectun works for cancer, via this post. Joe Tippens has an incredible story!!

8.Healing frequencies

(Healing Frequency Music,   PEMF,   and Teraherz waves...page coming soon).

For now I will just mention that I used a Teraherz wand on Kali's tumor, for several days before getting those amazing results with the Manuka honey and Turkey Tail mushrooms. I treated her water, used it on her body, and also used a teraherz wand directly on the tumor. I bought one of these wands in 2022 and it worked great, but unfortunately it wasn't built for a lot of use, and it broke. So I recently ordered a different one. But right after I got it in the mail, I learned that you're not supposed to treat open parts of a tumor (like a fungal tumor) with teraherz waves. SO, I tried wanding JUST the back part of the tumor that is covered with skin. However, I feel like I have to note, it's likely some of the tumor was exposed to the blue teraherz waves / light, and who knows, maybe a small amount of exposure could speed up the healing process, if it's not overdone? I really think people should do more studies on it.  I treated her body as well as wanding the water, which which changes the water structure and gives it a very slight "electrical charge." I kid you not, the morning after I used it, it was the first time in months that she actually woke up with a smile on her face!!!  I will be posting more information soon, about the different types of Teraherz wands that are on the market, and which ones seem to work the best. There are some I would recommend, and some I would definitely not recommend (if you want to contact me to ask questions before I'm able to write more on this blog, just fill out the contact form on the right side of this blog).

9.  Good ways to DETOXIFY

(Sam-e is one of those things). I'm going to write more on this topic, but you can see a page about Sam-e, HERE.  There are also detoxifying Zeolite supplements you can take to help your dog get rid of some of the toxins that are in vaccines. You can read more about the zeolite supplement I've been giving to Kali, HERE. There are a lot more detoxifying things I want to write about, but just have time to write about those two things for now.

I'm adding this even though Kali is not on this protocol because it's a little out of my price range right now, but I have seen amazing results with this.So I thought it was worth posting here.

I'm sure there are a lot of other things that help pets with cancer, but those are the top things I know of for now. 0h last thing I do want to add something called the Kelmun Protocol for Cancer, which my friend Monica told me about. I can't help thinking maybe it works for the same reason Manuka honey does. I will write about it soon. But for now, if you want to learn more about it, it's pretty fascinating, just google it.

10. Black Seed Oil

Update, 8/25:

I am adding black seed oil to this list after reading someone's comment that it can help with mammary tumors (what Kali has). I am pasting a screenshot of the comment (edited) below, but if you want to see the full  comment yourself, you can go to this post:

I did a search for that type of black seed oil and looked through the reviews for the word tumor, and it sounds promising enough to try!

This is the type I looked at:

Amazing Herbs Premium Black Seed Oil - Cold Pressed Nigella Sativa Aids in Digestive Health, Immune Support, Brain Function, Joint Mobility, Gluten Free, Non GMO - 8 Fl Oz

And these are some of the the reviews with the word "tumor" ( what I could fit into one screenshot). This was enough to make me want to try it.

PLEASE be sure to do your own research, and if you've found something here that works well, PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT IT.  Sadly, most vets will not tell you about the things on this page, so it really takes a village to get the word out.  If you have a pet with cancer, I wish you the best in your healing journey.
