Titey's Testimonials

SCROLL DOWN FOR BEFORE AND AFTER PICS!

I'm making this page as a place to put Testimonials for Titey's Tick and Flea Rub, which you can read more about on this page. Please note that I am not actually selling this product - at least, not yet. I am just teaching people how they can make their own inexpensive "grooming balm" and that has given my own rescue dogs a lot of relief, so I can't help thinking it might help other dogs as well.  This stuff just happens to have an ingredient that was once registered through the EPA as as a natural insecticide.

Here's a before and after pic of Gordo, a dog in my area, whose Mom reached out for help on facebook after she had spent $3,000.00 in about a month trying to get help for her poor pup, who was practically scratching himself to death. She went to 3 different veterinarians to try stop his itching, but nothing was fixing the problem!

I tell the rest of Gordo's story a little further down the page. But I wanted to just explain a little bit about why I use this stuff.

I use this oil on all my 8 large rescue / foster dogs because not only does it appear to work for fleas, mites, ticks, fungus and yeast, but it is cheap and easy to make!! Given the fact that I have seen way too many reports of toxic flea meds causing injuries, seizures and even death, it really seems like we should have safer solutions that might actually work! There are so many depressing stories like this one. If you think this is rare case, i challenge you to join this group and look at how many stories there are, where dog parents say their dogs either died or got very sick and many have developed seizures.

I started using his stuff three years ago and have not seen any negative side effects. I'm not saying that nobody could ever possibly have any problem whatsoever, and I should mention this oil is not for cats, but in three years, I have not seen any negative side effects with my foster/ rescue dogs ( shepards and huskies), only positive changes. But I know cats can be sensitive to essential oils, so please do your own research!

If you try this method, i would love to know how it goes. I really want to hear people's stories and learn from them. You can send them to theshepherdpeople@gmail.com.  if this works for enough people I might start selling it. In addition to being able to raise funds for my own eight rescues and fosters, I would love to be able to help shepherds that are desperately in need of rescue.... there are way too many of them in shelters right now!

This is the post I did, showing how and why I use this stuff on my dogs:

Back to Gordo and Gabriela's story...

I'm posting a few before and after pictures of Gordo, below. But if you continue to scroll down, you can see a lot more details for the healing story of Gordo, a dog who went to the vet for a routine checkup a few months ago. His owner, Gabriela, said she did not want to give him any vaccines, but they vaccinated him. anyway, when she was out of the room.

Over the next a few days he began itching, and his itching just got worse and worse. Gabriela told me she used to go running with him daily, but now he couldn't run, and he also seemed to be losing his eyesight. Gabriela ended up taking him to 3 different vets and spending $3,000 trying to figure out what the problem was, and unfortunately, the vets could not give her any solutions!!! So she did a post on facebook asking for help, and that's where I stepped in. I'm all about using natural solutions that Morher Nature / God / The Universe ALREADY gave us. I've learned from experience that nature has some of the most powerful remedies, but sadly, you will almost never hear them advertised. Because there's not enough money in it.

Here are a few snapshots of his results...

The story from the beginning:

On August 30th, I saw this post in a local Facebook group for my neighborhood.

I commented on her post....

I told her to contact me if she wanted to come by to pick up the supplies....

She came by the next morning, but I wasn't able to get pics because my camera's memory was full. I told her to bring a small glass bottle (glass is way better than plastic). I said a baby food jar, like turkey or something her dog would like, would be perfect, cause her dog could eat that first, and then we could rinse the jar out and use it for the oil.

I also told her i thought probiotics would help, and she said, she already give some probiotics, but I gave her some of mine also. I also gave her a bottle of hypochlorous acid, because it's really good at healing wounds. I have a machine that allows me to make it at home. But if you can't afford one, you can buy Vetericyn on amazon or possibly in a pet store. My local pet store discontinued it. Because they said it goes bad quickly in the plastic bottles (if you do purchase it, I recommend keeping it in the fridge with the cap on tight).

She came by on Sunday, August 30th with her dog, Gordo. I wish I could have taken pics that day but I realized too late that my camera was full, so I asked her to send me some "before" pics, so we could compare them with what he'd look like after he'd been using it for a while. She sent me a video later that day, shortly after applying it.

You can see the video on YouTube, here.

These are some pics Gabriela sent on Monday, 8-31-26. This is from one day after I met them but it shows you where he was at when he started.

I asked her if she could stop by again when she had time, so I could take some more up close pics with my own camera. These were taken on August 4th. His scars were starting to heal, so some spots look darker than in the beginning because it was scabbing..

Over the next few weeks, she updated me on his progress. Think she meant to say "the fur's" growing in, not "the first" growing in. Good ol' talk-to-text! 😀

These pics are from Sept. 14th, about 2 weeks in.

Gabriela (Gabby) did the super sweet post on Fabook ♥️. The timing could not have been better, because she posted it the same morning I was in a panic about one of my foster dogs that escaped and I was feeling like a terrible foster dog mom.  So I felt like she really helped me, too 🥰. And luckily my dog did come back pretty quickly.

I recently asked her if she had any more update pictures, and was kind of shocked, happily, that Gordo's fur made him practically look like a new dog! I didn't even realize his hair was originally a bit long with a slight wave to it. I am so happy for Gordo and Gabby, that he is doing so well! She also said he could finally run again, a lthough his eyesight still isn't great, but I am hopeful that maybe over time, it could possible improve with some supplements, like astaxanthin. I guess we'll see!

Thanks to Gabriela for sharing this testimonial and letting me share gordo's story, and the hopes it can help other dogs!

Again, if you try this method, i would love to know how it goes. I really want to hear people's stories and learn from them. You can send them to theshepherdpeople@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Laura
