A couple of days ago, while we were on a walk by a harbor, Kali started sniffing something, and I suddenly realized she got it in her mouth. It was some kind of dried up, small dead animal, like a rat or possum. I immediately grabbed her mouth and tried to get it out but she'd already swallowed it a bite. I was really worried because I don't know if it was something that could have been ingested rat poison. I was concerned, but she seems to be walking okay. However, about twenty minutes later, she suddenly stopped in the middle of walking, and looked kind of wobbly and disoriented. Luckily it only lasted a few seconds but it concerned me. I have not seen her do it again, but I am worried she could have ingested some sorts of toxins.
That evening, she appeared to be kind of low energy, and she was very low energy all day yesterday. She wasn't smiling like she normally does after I give her Sam-e. She hasn't pooped in 2 days. I am writing this from our favorite walking place, and i'm about to take her for an hour long walk. I'm really hoping she will finally poop because I gave her a bunch of slippery elm probiotics and other things that have been helpful in the past with pooping.
She does have a little more energy today. but she drank a ton of water, so I am worried her kidneys may not be in the best shape right now.
I am going to order this for her and will keep my fingers crossed at it will help her. For anyone who would want to tell me, I need to see a veterinarian right away, the bottom line is, I just do not have the money in my bank account to be able to do that. So this is my next best option. Luckily she is smiling a lot more today than she did yesterday.
